CACI

CACI

The award winning CACI micro current system is a renowned non surgical facelift and has a vast array of celebrity devotees.

Using micro current facial techniques the CACI Ultra works to restore and redefine facial muscles, reducing lines and wrinkles. The system utilises a special ultrasonic handset that oscillates  at 27,000 vibrations per second on the skin surface to exfoliate and deep cleanse the epidermis.

EFFECTS OF TREATMENT:

Crows feet and eye bags: Your eyes are surrounded by a network of fine, narrow muscles supporting the skin in an area which is particularly fragile. CACI will contract these muscles, improving the circulation in the peripheral blood vessels, thereby reducing the sagging and restoring a healthier skin tone.

Wrinkles on forehead: The vertical muscles that support the skin of the forehead are rarely used, therefore, they do not adequately stimulate the blood vessels for proper irrigation of the epidermis. Frowning will stimulate these muscles, but the creases that result will cancel out any irrigation. With CACI you can exercise these muscles in a beneficial way improving the skin tone and reducing wrinkles.

Creases around the mouth: Between the cheeks and nose, there is a long muscle called the “joint elevator of the nasal wing and upper lip”. This muscle works in a downward direction, as a rule gradually forming a deepening, vertical crease in this area. CACI will cause this muscle to work upwards, creating better support for your skin and progressively reducing the creases.

Sagging chin: whenever you chew, you are using the muscles around the jaw bone, called masseters. To correct any sagging under the chin, the muscles called the quadrate and the triangularis must be exercised. These are not used during the chewing process. CACI stimulation causes these muscles to contract, tightening up any slackness under the chin.

Improve complexion: Beneath the facial skin, there is a complex network of muscles and elastic tissue, whose function is to support the epidermis, and stimulate the peripheral blood vessels, ensuring that the skin’s foundation is well irrigated. Regular CACI treatments improve and maintain the efficiency of this “skin feeding system” and achieve a visible improvement to the complexion.

The CACI Ultra combines CACI Non Surgical Facial Toning with Skin Rejuvenation. The system incorporates 4 different technologies: Microcurrent, Ultrasonic Peeling, Hydratone and LED Light Therapy stimulation within one state of the art treatment device.

The Wrinkle Comb combines LED photo stimulation with high frequency electrical stimulation. The synergy of these technologies effectively plumps out and softens deep lines, wrinkles, blemishes and stretch marks. The Wrinkle Comb provides the first non invasive needle free alternative to collagen injections and other dermal fillers.

Hydratone

Hydratone combines active micro-current rollers with a unique, electrically conductive silicon gel mask that has been infused with powerful hydrating properties. The rollers gently massage the face causing the mask to become electrically charged so that the whole face is bathed with rejuvenating energy.

The energy delivered by the rollers recharges and replenishes the bio-electrical energy within the facial muscles, restoring tone and firmness.

The energy generated also drives the hydrating actives contained within the gel mask deep into the skin tissue. The gel mask has a dramatic softening action helping to plump out and smooth deep lines and wrinkles.

The Hydratone procedure takes just 10 minutes to perform yet provides immediate and intensive skin hydration and face firming.

Microcurrent

Micro-current stimulation delivers tiny electrical impulses that mirror the body’s own natural bio electrical field. In most cases, treatment is virtually sub- sensory, with just a slight electrical tingling sensation.

Originally developed for treating facial palsy Micro-current therapy is now also used widely in physiotherapy for pain control and in hospitals for wound healing. As an aesthetic treatment micro-current stimulation has been shown to have a number of other cosmetic benefits:
•   re-educates muscles,
•   increases blood and lymph circulation ,
•   enhances the penetration of the active ingredients of skin care formulations
•   increases the production of collagen and elastin
•   increases protein synthesis, gluconeogenesis and cell membrane transport
•   increases mitochondria activity , adenosine triphosphate  (ATP)

Microcurrent in aesthetics is commonly described as “facial toning or non surgical face lifting” due to the dramatic lifting effect that micro-current has on facial muscles and facial contours.

True micro-current uses a current with an intensity of  less than one millionth of an amp (< 1mA) and because of it’s low intensity it does not cause a physical or visual contraction of the muscle,
instead, micro-current stimulation works by a process called muscle re-education.

In the 1960’s Drs S. Baker and S.Doyle demonstrated that effective and long term muscle re-education could only be achieved using micro-current if ultra low frequencies (less than 1 Hertz)  were used.

In his book, The Body Electric Dr Robert O. Becker, indicates that to be effective micro-current impulses need to be delivered using a modified waveform that is able to overcome the body’s natural resistance to current ( Ohms law) without causing client discomfort.

Combining ultra low frequencies with a modified waveform enables the micro-current to recharge the electrical potential of the muscle by stimulating the spindle cell fibers that run the length of the muscle and attach to the golgi tendon organ in the belly of the muscle. This golgi tendon organ (GTO) simulation technique was developed by Dr George Goodheart in the late 60’s.

During treatment all 32 facial muscles are physically manipulated using soft cotton tipped wands (probes) or other attachments that transmit the micro-current impulses.

Working a muscle from belly outward will have a lengthening/relaxing effect that is necessary on muscles that have become contracted over years of facial expression ( eg frown lines ). Working a muscle from the origin and insertion point inward will have a shortening effect that is necessary for the majority of the muscles that have become elongated over time due to age and gravity.

Light Therapy

The application of light as a treatment therapy is termed “Phototherapy” derived from the measurement of light energy in units of photons.
Light energy is in every nerve, cell, gland and muscle of the body and each emits its own unique frequency vibration.
When the body becomes out of balance (due to age, health, environment, lifestyle or other external factors) the frequency vibration within the cells is affected and this disruption can lead to signs of ageing, skin conditions, illness and disease.
Each colour wavelength of light has a specific and unique frequency vibration. Specific light wavelengths have a bio stimulatory action on the cells and so can be used to effectively normalize cellular imbalances and treat certain skin conditions.
There are now numerous scientific studies on the effect of phototherapy in the healing of acne and other skin conditions.
NASA have recently conducted studies on the use of red LED light for the enhancement of cell growth and found that the application of specific wavelengths of light increased fibroblast activity and enhanced DNA synthesis leading to the production of new collagen.
A follow up study by Wisconsin Medical College demonstrated that the specific wavelengths of red LED light could be used to accelerate wound healing.
The American Academy of Dermatology has reported that blue light can be used to destroy the bacteria that produces the inflammation associated with propionbacterium acnes.
The British Journal of Dermatology has reported that the combination of specific red and blue light wavelengths can successfully treat acne.
A recent study at Hammersmith Hospital demonstrated that the combination of red and blue light phototherapy for the treatment of acne produced quicker results than the application of blue light alone

Ultrasonic

Ultrasonic peeling uses a hand piece containing ceramic/quartz heads that when excited by an electrical current emit piezoelectric vibrations that cause the hand piece to vibrate at 27,000 vibrations per second on the skin surface.
These rapid vibrations push skin impurities to the skin surface and cause any dead skin cells to become dislodged . The vibrating hand piece is then used to deep cleanse and gently exfoliate the epidermis.
The rapid expansions and contractions of the vibrating hand piece also destroy skin bacteria by causing the single cell wall of the bacteria cells to implode.
The sonic vibrations can also be set to a specific frequency to help the absorption of skin care formulations.
